Live & Raw @ Roadburn festival
Tilburg, Holland
April 19th 2008

This was the first show of our first tour of Europe. We were out supporting our latest album “Songs for Future Gods” which had just been released on CD by Small Stone in the states, and on LP by Roadburn Records in Europe. We arrived in Holland 2 days before we played the first show, so we basically spent our time recovering from jetlag just hanging out at Roadburn. By the time we got on stage we were actually pretty worn out. Another hindrance was that we were using this gear for the first time. We had never plugged in to or played on any of this equipment and that was very strange for us. All in all, I think it’s a pretty good set that has its highs and lows. It’s taken me 13 years to release it which means I guess I have come to grips with the fact that people don’t mind hearing mistakes. If that’s the case, you won’t be disappointed :). Two songs are omitted from this set. “NandV” was the opener but due to a ton of tuning issues there was no way I was going to let that one out into the wild. The second omission was the Ben E. King via Led Zeppelin version of “We’re Gonna Groove”. It has already been released on a 7” and I didn’t want to have to deal with licensing a cover for this release. I left quite a bit of the stage banter in to keep the flow of how it felt that evening, including the section when we thought the set was over and Scooter left for the showers only to be called back by the crowd to continue playing. At that point in the set we were playing songs we weren’t prepared for. This includes the very first live performance of “Step Up”. Reed - January 2021

Mos Generator Port Orchard, Washington

"If there's such a thing as fusing some soul into a doom palette, MOS GENERATOR has achieved that. Seldom will you hear an unambiguous merge between the two outside of BLACK SABBATH's "Sabotage". Mos Generator have tapped into a loud vibe featuring sinister and coarse nuances yet with something revealing far more heart". Ray Van Horn Jr.- Blabbermouth ... more
