The Black Sabbath album "Never Say Die" is a personal favorite of mine. Although it is not as crushing as the 1st six albums it has arrangements and performances unlike any other sabbath album and if you recognize it as a stand alone album and don't compare it to their earlier offerings, it's a truly amazing piece of work. "Air Dance" is particularly off the beaten path for Sabbath. Iommi, Ward and Butler utilize their seldom heard jazz upbringings and create a new breed of jazz/rock fusion while Ozzy, as usual, paints a wonderful vision with his vocal melodies. sorry Don Airey, you are simply too bad ass for us to attempt to reproduce.
