about

ENTER THE FIRE (Into The Fyre)**
This is probably the stangest song that we have ever released and I love it. It represents us opening up to other influences that we keep hidden in this band. This song was actually written for my other project HeavyPink and is the only Mos Generator song to use a click track (until it opens up in the last chorus). There are 2 major influences for the writing of this song. “Papa Was A Rolling Stone” & “Good Vibrations”. The “Papa” influence is obvious in the bass and first entrance of the guitars but the “Good Vibrations” influence is subtle. This demo is stripped down from the album version and has guitars instead of cellos for the main riff. The cello idea came from the end section of “Good Vibrations” from the Beach Boys where there is a chugging cello part from the end through the fade. I heard that and thought it would sound awesome instead of guitars so I contacted an old friend from high school and he laid them down like a pro. Also missing from the demo version is the baritone guitars in the choruses.

Mos Generator Port Orchard, Washington

"If there's such a thing as fusing some soul into a doom palette, MOS GENERATOR has achieved that. Seldom will you hear an unambiguous merge between the two outside of BLACK SABBATH's "Sabotage". Mos Generator have tapped into a loud vibe featuring sinister and coarse nuances yet with something revealing far more heart". Ray Van Horn Jr.- Blabbermouth ... more
